Preparing examination

I choose the picture of sea for preparing examination. Picture of sea can give my mind a kind of relax. Sea is really big and large. It doesn’t has an end. Same as the sea, human’s potential doesn’t has an end. Thinking of that, I determine that I can get any results I want in the examination. This is amazing picture of the sea and something I always watch before the examination. Examinations are challenging but for me, it is just a piece of documents.

Advice for Juniors

You guys had many free times during 2 years. I know that because I had experienced it. However, after I became the 3rd grade, I regret about my behaviors during 2 years. This long time was the time that I could develop my knowledges and abilities of somethings. For example, I couldn’t devleop my guitar skills and studying skills because I just played during that time.   Also they need to improve there mind toward the seniors.

Revolt of triviality

‘A pin a day is a groat a year’; positive caution which means that trivial thing now will be tremendous later. However, ‘the butterfly effect,’ doesn’t only contain positive one, but also negative ones. This effect is same as the above; a small change in one place can result in large differences in a later stage. In the other word, when I do something small, it would come with bigger effect in the future. In Rad Bradbury’s ‘A Sound of Thunder,’ it shows the definite example of ‘the butterfly effect,’ which related to the time paradox, the theory that when you got killed from the past during the time travel, you cannot exist in the present.

Rad Bradbury’s ‘A Sound of Thunder’ is the story of going time travel to the past. The way how the effect showed was interesting. When the travelers who go to the past and make ‘stamp of your foot, you annihilate first one, then a dozen, then a thousand, a million, a billion possible mice,’ than the above one extinct, and then also the above one extinct, finally, human will be gone. This occurs because the time where they went was sixty million years before. Killing one organism at that time will change to killing 60 million of organisms in the present. This was the first relation between the story and the effect. The other one comes at the end. In the beginning of the story, it introduces that the public idea of the country is a democracy. Eckel, the main character, brought the ‘Gold Butterfly’ from the past, and so, the present changed. They noticed the presence of strange English after they come back. Also the political idea, was changed to tyranny. The small act that he did make a huge change; changed the society.

How about in Korea? There was a positive effect which it brought. Park Jung hee was the president of South Korea. The political idea of South Korea was democracy, however, during his presidency, he ran tyranny. At that moment, the economy of Korea was striking the floor, so Park Jung hee determined to plan the economic projects. It had started with small one, as days go by, the economy has been developed and modern society of Korea is the result. Starting was small, however, the output was tremendous. This is the definite example of ‘the butterfly effect.’

In conclusion the two cases of ‘the butterfly effect’ prove that there are positive effects and negative effects. Be careful about such a trivial thing during your life.

Most inspired class I ever had

Last week, I took my best class I ever had. Teacher’s name was Jo Jung Woo. He majored of politics. He just inspired us with first class of the politics. He endured all of his abilities of studying and thought us about the history of the government. Last week, we studied about the ideas of a few politics. It inspired my mind because actually I didn’t know about how hard the history of government was. After the class, I met teacher and had more conversations about the topic.

My cousin

It was a chuseok. I enjoyed my own vacation, but I should done with some homework. Also I saw my cousins and we had some conversations. My grandfather told me that I should study hard now so I can be comfortable in future. And my aunt told me that I should listen well to my parents because they know everything they experienced. My brother told me about the military. He said its very laborous however it could make him a real man. It was a great chuseok I ever spent

Caltech has six academic divisions with strong emphasis on science and engineering. Recently I got interest of the science engineering so it is fitting university to me.

Seoul national university is the most high ranked university in Asia. Also Korean companies only want to employ seoul national university graduated people.

Comments from my parents

I showed my parents the blog which I made. For past 6 months, I wrote many things that had impressed myself. After my parents saw my blog, they said it will be the vital property for myself when I grow up. Also they read each of my blog writing, they gave me a some comments. My father commented about my first post, ‘Which University I want to go?’ He said “Son maybe you can go into any univeristy you want to go when you put your efforts.” Also after my mother saw my third post about the grammer, “I believe that this blog writing will help you to improve your English skills.” I felt different feelings. It was kind of inspiration.

The best commentator in the world

Varities of television channels are being showed to the audience. MBC, SBS, KBS, CNN, ABC… etc. However, some of them are influenced by government and companies, giving a bribe and request to show them well. Actually this kind of situations is unappropriate. Also it usually gives the profound feelings. Nevertheless, there is some broadcasting company which gives a fun to us. TVn is the company which gives people a great fun. There are various programs so people will not be sick of watching TV. For example, SNL is the most famous tv program that TVn broadcasts. This program is kind of parody, which imitates some happening from the society. Also we can watch this program by Youtube. In America, they usually watch Fun Home Videos, and it is the same thing with this situation.

My vacation

 During 3 weeks I went to chemical and Math academy every thursday, sunday and saturday. I learned many things wihich made me knowledgable. Also I played guitar ever day so I could improve my skills. In some freetimes I played games to pull out the stress. I saw 4 movies during the vacation. One was “myoung rang.” It was about Lee Sun Shin, who destroied 300 ships with 10 ships. He was the actual hero, but he didn’t get deserved. I went to Jam sil with my friend and we played soccer. I loved my vacation but I missed my friends.

The person who I emulate is Ban ki moon. Ban Ki-moon is the eigth and current secretry general of the United Nations, after succeeding Kofi Annam in 2007. Before becoming Secretary-General, Ban was a career diplomat in South Korea’s Ministary of foriegn affairs  and in the United Nations. He entered diplomatic service the year he graduated from university, accepting his first post in New delih, india. In the foreign ministry, he established a reputation for modesty and competence.
